How to Find Thurso
Grid Reference
British National Grid

Degrees
58.59973°N, 3.50745°W

Head towards Thurso from the A9, as you enter the town from the South, you need to keep to the East hand side of the River, so do not cross the bridge, instead turn off ahead at the A836 towards East Thurso and the ruined castle. The road runs straight and you will see a small road turn off at the end of the straight part ahead. Take this and follow it all the way around, past the castle, you will see a large farm, from here the road changes to a wide track road, you can drive straight through and onto a large car park area.

Park here and walk onto the beach eastwards, its not far before you will start to see fish fragments in many of the rocks.
